Focus Server
- Install and license Focus Server
- On your Focus Server machine, create the Focus Server Recordings network share
- Default Recordings location: C:\SBG\Focus\Recordings
- Right-click on the Recordings folder and choose Properties
- Click on the Sharing tab
- Click on Share
- Name: Everyone
- Permission Level: Read
- Click on Share to confirm the change and share the items
- On a separate machine, verify that you can access the Network Share
- Configure Focus Server
- Recorder Setup
- Add AVMATRIX RTSP addresses to the Focus server
- Channel Names
- EZ
- SL
- TV
- Do NOT configure the server for restreaming
- Do NOT configure the Secondary streams to connect to the Primary Server
- Recorder Setup
- Clients
- Update the Server Name
- Primary Server Name: [TEAM NAME] - PRIMARY
- Set Password
- Work with each SEC customer to create a unique password
- ENABLE “Detect client version mismatch checkbox”
- DISABLE “Prevent Clients Stopping/Pausing a Session”
- Set the Total Outgoing Bandwidth Limit to 800
- Update the Server Name
Tag Clipper Setup
The Tag Clipper application is included in the Focus Server and will automatically launch after starting a Focus capture session. The Tag Clipper application creates the individual media files distributed to Focus Client devices.
- After the Tag Clipper application opens, click on File > Configure Focus in the upper left corner
- Set the Gateway to Local
- Port 17000
- Password: Focus Server password
- Select Connect on startup
- Select Auto-reconnect
Focus Logger Setup
- Install and license a Focus Client on a new Windows laptop
- Go to Settings > Server
- Click the Advanced button to expand the Server display
- Select the primary Focus Server and enter its password. DO NOT SELECT CONNECT
- Set the Shared Video Recording Directory
- Click on the Folder icon
- Choose Browse
- Navigate to the Primary Server network share previously configured on the Focus Server laptop
- If necessary, authenticate via Windows credentials
- Click Connect and verify that you can connect to the Focus Server
- Navigate to the Video section
- Click Advanced
- Set the Live Mode to Playback Recordings - Adjustable Delay
- Set the Local Recording dropdown to Off
- Click Advanced
- Navigate to the User Interface section
- Verify that Enabled American Football Tablet Mode is NOT selected
- Verify that Enabled American Football Tablet Mode is NOT selected
- Click Save to confirm the Focus Client settings
