INTRODUCTION
Users of Catapult Wearable Technology as well as Pro-Video have the opportunity to attach wearable data to tags created in Focus.
In doing so, users can gain an insight into the physical demands associated with tagged actions or periods.
OPENFIELD SETUP
- Check the OpenField user has accurately created periods - How to create, edit and delete Periods
FOCUS SETUP
- Create a Focus Archive Session - Creating an Archive Session
- Select appropriate Session Type - Setting Timing Tags
- Use Tagging Template to Tag actions/periods of interest as well as the start of each period (named "Start")
PROCESS STEPS
- In Focus, export Session XML
- In OpenField, Open corresponding Activity Import Codes Hudl SportsCode Classic
- Select XML File exported from Focus Check Align Start with Periods and Select Periods to align "Start" tags to
- Highlight "Start" Tags and any other tagged actions/periods of interest Import
- Navigate to OpenField Home screen and Full Sync - OpenField Sync
- Navigate to Focus Exporter - https://vision-projects.catapultsports.com/focus-openfield/index.html
- Select Periods (select "Create periods as tags" recommended)
- Select Athletes
- Select Annotations Choose whether to export data for Athletes, Team or Athletes and Team Select all Annotations Use the Text Field to search and select which parameters to attach as label data in Focus
- Create Focus File Fetch from OpenField
- Apply desired Pre & Post Roll Duration (to replicate exported xml, 0 second pre & post roll is recommended)
- Set both Category Name and Tag Name as "Annotation Category"
- Download Focus Import File
- Choose Timeline Colours Choose to Create separate JSON files for each period Download
- In Focus, in the Tag Menu Import Tags Browse Change file type to .json from .xml Locate exported JSON file
- Tag Menu Sync Tags
- Select .json from Timeline dropdown menu
- Align Select first OF Period - to - Select corresponding timing tag
- If needed, apply the Time Offset in seconds
- Tag Menu Delete Tags Select timeline of original tags from the drop down menu
- Delete & Close
