What is Automatic Video Import?
Automatic video import allows MatchTracker to detect and correctly assign video files to the appropriate channels during Batch or Game Ingest. This ensures that footage is instantly linked to the correct camera angles without manual configuration, saving time and reducing errors.
How is Automatic Video Import Applicable?
For teams processing multiple camera angles, using the correct file naming convention ensures that MatchTracker automatically maps each video to the correct channel. This avoids manual channel assignment and ensures a smoother ingest process, especially in multi-angle or league-wide workflows.
Video File Naming Requirements
The following naming format must be used:
<match_id>_18YardOne.mp4
<match_id>_18YardTwo.mp4
<match_id>_Broadcast.mp4
<match_id>_HighBehindOne.mp4
<match_id>_HighBehindTwo.mp4
<match_id>_Panoramic.mp4
<match_id>_Tight Angle.mp4
<match_id>_Wide.mp4
<match_id>_<angle>_1stHalf.mp4 # For multi-video 1st half
<match_id>_<angle>_2ndHalf.mp4 # For multi-video 2nd half
Notes
- Must match the ID assigned to the match in MatchTracker.
- Replace this with the camera angle name (for example, Broadcast or HighBehindOne).
- It does not matter who the eventing data provider is - this format is the same in all cases.
