Focus 10.0.1 is a maintenance release that resolves a number of crashes, video playback problems and Presentations issues reported in Focus 10.0.
Important Information
- Improved handling of session packages kept in Hub backup and log folders. In the rare case of Hub Session Backup folder being pointed at the same location as your Session Package Search Path, the routine log cleanup could remove older session files from those packages.
- Please ensure to keep your graphics drivers up to date. We've traced a small number of crash reports on Windows machines to older NVIDIA graphics drivers. If you use a dedicated GPU, installing the latest driver is the best way to avoid them.
- Intel Mac support ending. Focus versions released after summer 2027 will require an Apple silicon chip on Mac.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed: Black or heavily stuttering video when playing 10-bit HEVC (H.265) clips with hardware-accelerated decoding enabled. If you turned off "Prefer Hardware Accelerated Decoding" to work around this, you can safely turn it back on.
- Fixed: Crashes when exporting a Presentation as a video, including some Presentations containing freeze frame or player link annotations.
- Fixed: Intermittent crash on macOS when the mouse cursor changed shape, for example while adding an arrow annotation to a Presentation.
- Fixed: Potential crash when drawing a tag on the timeline.
- Fixed: Potential crash in the embedded web view used for rendering release notes.
- Fixed: The colour picker missing from Masking when Perspective was set to any sport other than football, making it impossible to mask the playing surface manually.
- Fixed: Tag pre and post roll not displaying in the right-hand menu when the interface language was set to Spanish or Simplified Chinese.
- Fixed: Player icons appearing out of alignment with the players they were attached to.
- Fixed: Player icon annotations with tracking keyframes inside a freeze frame could not be selected, resized or deleted on the timeline.
- Fixed: The Hub session deletion dialog occasionally getting stuck after the session had already been deleted successfully.
- Fixed: The Presentation title no longer resizing itself to fit long Presentation names.
- Fixed: Missing collapse icon on the Presentation export notification.
