Focus 10.0.2 adds a new way to contact our support team from inside Focus, and resolves a number of export, playback and Presentations issues reported in previous versions.
Important Information
- Please ensure to keep your graphics drivers up to date. We've traced a small number of crash reports on Windows machines to older NVIDIA graphics drivers. If you use a dedicated GPU, installing the latest driver is the best way to avoid them.
- Intel Mac support ending. Focus versions released after summer 2027 will require an Apple silicon chip on Mac.
Contact Support
- Added a Contact Support option that opens a chat with our support team without leaving Focus. Press F1 from a Session or Presentation, or use the help button on the home screen or in Settings → About.
- Your account, license, and the Session or Presentation you have open are attached to the conversation automatically, so there is less to explain when you get in touch.
- The same menu includes a Help Portal link, which opens our Help Centre in your browser.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed: Non-transcoded clips exported from H.265 (HEVC) source video not playing correctly in QuickTime.
- Fixed: Presentation playback slowing down progressively as more player icons with tracking were added.
- Fixed: Presentation notes appearing smaller the higher the export resolution, instead of matching the size shown in the Presentation.
- Fixed: A Presentation folder becoming impossible to rename once its name had been cleared.
- Fixed: Hub Presentation exports finishing instantly with a "package saved successfully" message but containing no clips. This affected all Hub Presentations with a title slide as the first item.
- Fixed: Focus could be quit while a Presentation package save or export was still in progress. Focus now waits for it to finish before closing.
- Fixed: Cancelling a Hub Session package export leaving Focus unresponsive, with a progress indicator that never completed and a dialog that could not be dismissed.
- Fixed: Some Session CSV exports producing enormously oversized CSV files.
- Fixed: Player icons shifting to incorrect positions during a freeze frame after trimming a clip's pre-roll.
- Fixed: Certain tags in a Presentation could be copied but not pasted.
- Fixed: Intermittent crash when toggling the sort order of a tag list column.
- Fixed: Crash during video playback when a network connection became unstable.
- Fixed: Slow, laggy window resizing on Windows, in both the Focus and Presentations windows.
