Intel Mac support ending. Focus versions released after
summer 2027 will require an Apple silicon chip on Mac.
Improvements and Bug Fixes
- Video Debug Logging in Settings → General is now a single Off / On / Auto setting, replacing the two previous checkboxes. The On setting is now kept when Focus restarts.
- Opening a Presentation now reads each clip's duration from the file header instead of scanning the whole file.
- Hidden loading indicators and animations no longer keep Focus redrawing the screen in the background.
- Fixed: On Mac, Focus could crash when trimming a tag with the Shift+I or Shift+O hotkeys.
- Fixed: Focus could crash when an external display was disconnected.
- Fixed: On Windows, Focus could freeze more and more during a live Session on calculation-heavy tagging templates until it was restarted.
- Fixed: Automatic video debug logging switching on for every video stream when only one reported a problem, and logging that it had started even when Video Debug Logging was off.
- Fixed: On an unreliable network, Focus retrying failed background video downloads endlessly and filling the logs.
- Fixed: Annotations with Player Links or player icons appearing in the wrong place in some Presentations.
- Fixed: Annotations on image and title slides missing when a Presentation was exported.
- Fixed: Some clips in Hub Presentations starting and then stopping immediately, and being left out of exported Presentation packages.
- Fixed: Owners being unable to unlock or take over editing of their own Presentation without restarting Focus.
- Fixed: Hide Empty Label Group Columns also hiding columns that still had labels in them, after deleting the only tag with a particular label.
- Fixed: The timeline filter listing the same source several times after importing multiple XML files, with all of them highlighting when one was selected.
- Fixed: The download progress for a Hub Session's video starting at around 50% instead of 0% when a new download began.
- Fixed: The Sync Tags menu overflowing its window when Focus was set to Spanish or French.
