Adding a Blackmagic Device

1. Open Focus Server and Navigate to the Recorders Tab.
2. Plug your Blackmagic Device to Focus computer via Thunderbolt cable and connect your feed via SDI or HDMI. 
3. Once it is connected, you should see it listed as an internal recorder.
4. It should go from Initializing to Ready once a video signal is being sent by your connected source.

Adding an AJA U-TAP Device

1. Open Focus Server and Navigate to the Recorders Tab.
2. Plug your AJA U-TAP Device to Focus computer via USB 3.0 cable and connect your feed via SDI or HDMI (depending on the converter model). For more details see Connecting an AJA U-TAP Device to your Focus Computer
3. Once it is connected, you should see it listed as an internal recorder.
4. It should go from Initializing to Ready once a video signal is being sent by your connected source. 
   

Adding a Channel via IP

1. Open Focus Server and Navigate to the Recorders Tab.
2. Click Edit Channels, Add Channels, and Add Channel. 
3. Enter a Channel Name, click on URL, and enter the URL.
   1. If the camera has a username/password, the format for the channel entry should be - streamprotocol://username:password@IPADDRESS:PORT
   2. If a username/password is not necessary, the format should be - streamprotocol://IPADDRESS:PORT
      
      This information can be found in the user manual for the device that you're trying to bring in. 
   3. If the feed is rtmp, the format should be - rtmp://
      

Adding a Channel Via SDP file

1. Open Focus Server and Navigate to the Recorders Tab.
2. Click Edit Channels, Add Channels, and Add SDP Files. 
3. Navigate to the SDP Files in the window that pops up.
