The exclusive link function can be used to ensure that only one of the linked buttons can be active at a time. When pressing a button which has an exclusive link it will automatically deactivate the other linked button(s).
For example, the analyst wants to collect data around the time the ball is in play and out of play. By using the exclusive link function between their Ball in Play and Ball out of Play buttons only one of these buttons can be active by selecting the relevant button, whereby the other linked button turns off.

How to create an exclusive link
To create an exclusive link, once you have created some tags or labels:
- Navigate to Focus Templates and click on the Tag (or Label) that you want to become exclusive to other tags. In this example, Ball out of Play.
- Click on the Edit Links button.
- Once in the Edit Links page, you need to select the Tag(s) you want to create exclusivity to when the Ball in Play button is pressed. In this example, Ball in Play.
